GOP Doctors Caucus Names Michigan’s Rep. Dan Benishek As June ‘Member of the Month’

The GOP Doctors Caucus today named Rep. Dan Benishek (MI-01) as the June ‘Member of the Month.’

A physician with 30 years of experience, Benishek came to Congress to defeat Obamacare, improve America’s healthcare system, and strengthen the doctor-patient relationship.

Dr. Benishek is at the forefront of the House Republican fight to repeal Obamacare and has supported several pieces of major ‘repeal and replace’ legislation, including the "Empowering Patients First Act" (H.R. 3000), a bill that puts patients in charge of their care and makes health care more affordable. Dr. Benishek also strongly supported the "Protecting Access to Healthcare Act (H.R. 5)," which repeals the board of unelected bureaucrats established by the President’s health care law to make decisions over seniors’ care.
